BEMÆRK: Ansøgningsfristen er overskredet
Department of People and Technology, Roskilde University, invites applications for a position as postdoc affiliated to the project: Senior employees at work from May 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position as postdoc is limited to a period of 2 years and 2 months.
The project will contribute to the inclusion, security and mental health of senior employees. While people are generally supposed to work still longer, research shows that the mental health of around half of senior employees’ (+50) is challenged, primarily due to experiences of precarity. Senior employees perceive their position as insecure due to e.g. lack of recognition, lack of access to training and career development or unmet needs of adjusting work to abilities. This project aims at investigating the problems and barriers for developing more inclusive workplaces, using a case-based and experimental design. The project explores local understandings and practices in relation to senior employees, and support the development of locally anchored practices and policies in series of workshops. This is carried out in cooperation with 16 small or medium-sized companies, which like most Danish workplaces have not developed policies or practices aimed at retaining and recruiting senior employees. The 2½ years project is financed by ‘Velliv Foreningen’, and starts up the March 1, 2024.
As a postdoc you become a part of the project team consisting of project leader Annette Kamp, Per H Jensen and a student assistant. You will be involved in conceptual and methodological questions and will work together with the team on planning and carrying out the empirical studies (including workshop activities), and to partake in analyses, publishing and conference activities. You also become part of the Working Life research group, which is a well-established part of the department of people and technology. https://ruc.dk/forskning-paa-institut-mennesker-og-teknologi
