At DTU Sustain we are world-leaders and the only lab in Denmark that specializes in radiochemical analyses to monitoring environmental and food radioactivity and prevent radiological risk. Great variety across research, analyses, development and hands-on lab work
Your new job is a combination of a being Research Development Engineer and Research Technician. As such, you will work with research, analyses, development of new radioanalytical methods and more practical work related to lab maintenance. The balance between your different tasks will depend on your background and professional interest – together, we find just the right path for you.
Your tasks will include:
- Work at the forefront of new technology to the benefit of mankind
- Develop, improve and implement analytical methods – especially for measuring extremely low levels of radioactivity
- Prepare and analyze large sample series
- Calculate results, including quality assurance
- Write reports that communicates results to researchers and customers
- Collaborate, share knowledge and contribute to upholding our very good work environment
Degree in chemistry at minimum Master’s level and great motivation for new learning
We are looking for you that are eager to learn and not afraid to ask questions. Our mission is to make you as good as possible, and we know we can only do so by giving the help you need. You just need to be collaborative, responsible and have the overview it takes to plan ahead in order to meet agreed deadlines. Additionally, your resumé comprises:
- A degree in chemistry at minimum Master’s level
- Hands-on laboratory experience within e.g. analytical chemistry or inorganic chemistry
- Motivation for hands-on laboratory work
- Good English skills and motivation for learning a Scandinavian language, if you do not manage it already
Your new team
You will join 18 good colleagues at the DTU campus in Risø situated right to the waterside in scenic surroundings at Roskilde Fjord. We are 3 Scientists, 3 Postdocs/PhDs and 12 Lab Engineers/Technicians. Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
