The center of advanced water purification at AU ENVS is looking for a student helper
The respective student should hold a Bachelors in Chemistry or similar.
The candidate has ideally experiences in one or a combination of the following:
- Environmental analytical chemistry, especially HPLC-MS/MS, and analysis of bioactive molecules (antibiotics, bactericides, pesticides) to establish degradation kinetics.
- Experiences in operating, maintaining and developing experiments on water treatment reactors especially Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors.
- Interactions with fullscale wastewater treatment, as some of the project will be conducted together with a utility.
- The candidate is expected to be fluent in English and Danish.
The tasks will also include: management of field site, sampling and reporting as well as contributing to new applications.
The position is supposed to be filled in spring 2024 and in the beginning limited to up to 12 months. It will initially be max 12 h/week.
The lab is currently equipped with three UPLC-MS/MS instruments, one of them as HR/MS, accelerated solvent extraction, SPE, two process HPLC-DADs, TOC, 6 MBBRs, ozonation and fixed bed biofilm reactors.

Formalities and salary range
Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Professional Unions.
