We are looking for a Quality Manager to maintain and develop our quality system for wind turbine testing, lidar calibrations and other wind measurement campaigns and measurement-related activities. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues. Additionally, you will have other responsibilities and support the section’s activities; for instance, by being responsible for small commercial projects, analysing data, developing internal tools and methods, etc.

The place of employment is Risø Campus, close to Roskilde.

The TAC section works very close with wind industry, bringing the latest developments in DTU Wind Energy and Energy Systems research to the field. We operate test stations in Høvsøre and Østerild, where we test prototypes of the next generation wind turbines. We are an accredited test laboratory for mechanical loads, power performance tests, and lidar calibrations. 

We are proud to contribute to developing and applying new measurement techniques and test methods, in close collaboration with other sections, clients, research partners, and international standardization and cooperation groups.

The job
We expect that your role as quality manager will take approximately half of your time, and it will consist of:

  • Ensuring that the quality system is up to date and complies with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and IECRE quality requirements.
  • Implementation, maintenance and improvement of our quality manual documents, procedures and instructions.
  • Performing internal audits according to ISO 17025: 2017 requirements.
  • Preparing for DANAK and IECRE annual audits, follow-ups and correction of deviations. 
  • Data management in TAC projects: user administration of FTP servers, databases and data sites; managing the data archive.
  • User management and maintenance of web-based online system and logbook.

Additionally, you will:

  • Be project manager of small commercial projects.
  • Depending on qualifications, perform other support tasks like: data analysis, software development, various tasks in measurement projects, support in research projects, etc. 

Our expectations of you
We imagine that you already possess many of the following qualifications:

  • Experience working with and managing quality systems related to measurements. Preferably, with training or experience in quality management according to ISO 17025:2017
  • Experience with measurement systems and data analysis.
  • Being the driver that ensures that the quality system is up to date, useful and an active component in the section development.
  • Has a good analytical approach and the ability to work systematically and well-organized.
  • Good at inter-personal communication and teamwork.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) in English 
  • Basic knowledge of database techniques and data acquisition 
  • Technical understanding of basic mechanical and electrical structures or components.
  • Preferably, experience with measurements on wind turbines or meteorological measurements including lidar measurements.
  • Capacity to work as part of a team.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position is full time (37 hours).

The place of work is Risø Campus in Roskilde.
