The Department of People and Technology is seeking a student assistant to help with a variety of tasks related to EU and national projects on food systems, sustainable transition, and more. This includes, among others, the projects FoSSNet (https://fossnet.eu/), FEAST (https://feast2030.eu/), and InnoFoodLab.
We expect to hire 1–2 student assistants for the position, and at least one candidate must be fluent in Danish. Therefore, we encourage both Danish- and English-speaking students to apply. The employment is permanent but conditional on active student status. Start date is 01.03.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Tasks and Qualifications
You can expect to be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:
- Data collection and processing
- Project meetings with Danish and international partners (online as well as in person)
- Organizing workshops and similar activities
- Preparing reports and articles
- Literature searches and reviews
- Meeting facilitation, including minutes and practical tasks
- Transcribing interviews in Danish and English
We emphasize that you:
- Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a relevant field, preferably with at least 1½ years left of your studies
- Have knowledge of sustainability, food, and/or agriculture, e.g., from project work
- Have experience with qualitative studies
- Can work independently and meet deadlines – while also collaborating closely with us and other student assistants
- Have the ability to build good collaborative relationships and involve relevant stakeholders
- Are willing to take on both development and operational tasks
- Are motivated to take ownership and responsibility for your own and the project’s tasks
- Can communicate in English, both spoken and written

Terms of Employment
This is a position with variable hours depending on tasks, approximately 8 hours per week and will be determined upon employment in agreement with the individual employee.
You will report to the Head of Secretariat at the Department of People and Technology, Rikke Sjølin, while daily coordination and collaboration will take place with the project manager, Stine Rosenlund Hansen.
The employment is permanent but conditional on active student status and is in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement as well as the organisational agreement for office staff, laboratory technicians, and IT employees (HK).
Interviews will be held after the application deadline, expected in week 4 or 5. The expected start date is 1 March 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Your Application
We expect you to include a short written assignment with your application (max. 2400 characters), consisting of the following:
- Identify 2 relevant research articles within one of the following topics:
- Transdisciplinarity in agrifood studies / food systems: Primary challenges and/or methods to perform transdisciplinarity
- OR
- Potentials and challenges in a transition towards more plant-based food systems
- Summarize briefly the key themes across the articles
- Describe and justify your selection process
We recommend that you spend approx. 2 hours on the assignment and that you write it in English.
